About Blackadder

Blackadder is a family-run, independent bottling company established in 1995. It is named after historic Scottish figure Bishop John Blackadder who was a fugitive preacher.

"Cask is King" - that's Blackadder Philosophy. The principal brand is Blackadder. All Blackadder whiskies are bottled as single cask and most at cask strength. Blackadder whiskies are non chill-filtered and non-coloured.

The Blackadder Raw Cask whiskies are complete cask whiskies bottled containing cask sediment. Other Blackadder brands include: The Clydesdale Original, Aberdeen Distillers, The Old Man of Hoy, Blairfindy, Peat Reek, Smoking Islay, Blackadder Legendary, Riverstown and A Drop of the Irish.
